Vanitas

VANITAS is the title of my solo project featuring modular synthesizers, live-electronics and sometimes trumpet. Wildly diverse and eclectic in style, VANITAS combines reductionist noise improv with electronica, field recordings with haunting melodies, acoustic trumpet playing with analog synthesized boops and bomps. 

Some precursory works for the VANITAS project include soundtrack compositions for experimental animated short films by visual artists Linda Perthen and Gudrun Barenbrock.  Another iteration of VANITAS are live-remixes of concerts of improvised music, jazz, classical and contemporary music.
